The said students are advised to get registered in Class XII prior to that and start attending to the Physical Classes of XII right from the very first day as the Syllabi of Class XII is huge. Parents/Guardians of the students are advised, therefore, to visit the School Office either on Monday, June 06, 2022 or on Tuesday, June 07, 2022 between 11:00 A.M. and 02:00 P.M. along with the School Fee Books of Class XI of their wards and get their wards registered in Class XII to ensure that they do not miss out on any Class.

Students of Classes from Nursery to X and their parents/guardians are notified, hereby, that WBCHSE has declared The Crescent School as the Home Centre for Higher Secondary Examination – 2022. The duration of the said Examination will be from Saturday, April 02, 2022 to Wednesday, April 27, 2022.

In view of the above and to ensure that Classes of the Second Terminal do not get affected, a decision has been taken to start the Second Terminal from Monday, April 04, 2022 and conduct the Classes online during the period from Monday, April 04, 2022 to Thursday, April 28, 2022.

It has been decided further that the routine for the proposed Online Classes will remain the same as those that were followed for the Physical Classes till before the commencement of the First Terminal Examination.

However, students are advised to adjust themselves to the changes, if any, as may be announced in advance by the teachers concerned from time to time.

SECOND TERMINAL EXAMINATION – 2021 – ONLINE

Students and their parents/guardians are notified, hereby, that the Second Terminal Examination – 2021 is scheduled to be held Online with effect from Monday, August 02, 2021.

The following may please be noted in connection with the above :

1. Monthly School Fees of the students should be paid up to the month of July, 2021.
2. Unique User ID and Pin along with blank answer sheets duly stamped, would be issued to those candidates only who would have cleared their Monthly School Fees up to the month of July, 2021.
3. No candidate would be allowed to gain access to the Examinations without the valid Unique User ID and Pin.
4. The deliverables would be issued from the School Office from Tuesday, July 27, 2021 to Thursday, July 29, 2021 between 11:00 am and 02:00 pm on production of the School Fee Books.
5. The time limit for uploading or submitting Answer Scripts to the School Office would be specified on the Time Table to be issued for the Examination.

Students are advised to submit the Answer Scripts to the School Office after every Examination within the specified time limit. Those students who would prefer to upload Answer Scripts online should submit a letter to the School Office by Thursday, July 29, 2021, mentioning the same.

Children’s Day

Today is the 14th of November, 2020, the Birth Anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. He was born in a Pandit family of Kashmir. His father was Motilal Nehru and his mother was Swarup Rani Nehru. Coming from a humble family background, he went on to become the first Prime Minister of Independent India.

Pandit Nehru had great love for the children. Children were very fond of him and in return, called him Chacha Nehru most lovingly. His Birthday is, therefore, celebrated every year as “Children’s Day” all over the country.

Indications are that the same is likely to continue in the times to come.

The method of imparting education and learning is seen to be making a paradigm shift from the physical mode to the digital mode and hence, The Crescent School would not like to be left behind and will certainly realign itself with the changing environment and move on with the world towards the digital mode of learning and imparting education. This effectively means that the conduct of Online Classes will take precedence over the Physical Classes.

Therefore, parents and guardians are advised, hereby, that should they wish to continue the education of their wards in The Crescent School, they will have to accept the digital platform of education and Online Classes and must possess the necessary digital devices (Mobile Phone, Laptop/Desktop/Tablet, etc.) for complying with the Online Classes and Online Evaluations. National Education Day

NURSERY TO CLASS X

Students, their parents and guardians are notified, hereby, that following the order of the Hon’ble High Court at Calcutta judicature dated 13/10/2020 in WPA No. 5899/2020 and subsequent order of the Hon’ble Supreme Court dated 28/10/2020, the school authority has allowed discounts in Tuition Fees only @ 20 percent to the students whose Monthly Fees are above Rs. 800/=, effective from the month of April 2020 till the school reopens physically. Further, parents and guardians who were kind enough to have paid the full Fees may apply for adjustment of the discount in the following Academic Session. However, the parents and guardians who can afford to pay the full Fees are requested to support the School by paying full Fees as suggested in the order of the Hon’ble High Court.

We have already embarked on the truncated syllabi for the Annual Examination of the current session, which is slated to begin within a fortnight of physical reopening of the School. However, should the School continue to remain closed, the Annual Examinations will be conducted online tentatively between the second and the third week of December 2020.

Parents and guardians are requested to clear the School Fees for and up to the month of November 2020 by 30/11/2020, as directed by the Hon’ble High Court and confirmed by the Hon’ble Supreme Court with the discount allowed @ 20 percent on the Tuition Fees only to the students whose Monthly Fees are above Rs. 800/-. The Hon’ble High Court has given liberty to the Schools to disallow the students beyond December 08, 2020 if their Fees remain unpaid.

Students of Class X, their parents and guardians are notified, hereby, that the Registration Certificates of the Madhyamik Parikhsha 2021 are ready for distribution to those whose Fees are paid for and up to the month of October 2020. Those who have not yet paid the Fees are requested to pay for and up to the month of October 2020 and enable the School to distribute the Registration Certificates.

Monthly School Fees

Students and their parents/guardians are notified, hereby, that the School declared “Moratorium” in payment of Monthly School Fees vide notification number TCS/2020/009 dated April 11, 2020. However, Online Classes and Online Evaluations are being continued unabated.

It is notified further, that the School has paid the salaries in full to the teachers and the staff up to the current month. But, it is to be understood how long the School could continue making such payments of salaries and meeting other essential expenses when the inflow of revenue by way of Monthly School Fees gets stopped totally.

Online Tests

We do sincerely hope, that you are enjoying the classes that are being conducted online as much as we are enjoying bringing them to you. With the school closed on account of “Lock Down”, it is important to make the best out of the classes. Please follow them regularly for your own benefit.

As announced earlier, we shall start taking the tests online with effect from Monday, April 13, 2020. We suggest that the students dedicate an exercise book for the purpose entitled, “Online Tests”. Write all the tests in that exercise book and present the same for correction. If the exercise book gets exhausted start using another one. It is much better that way than using loose sheets as loose sheets tend to get misplaced easily.

Weekly Evaluation Tests

Students of The Crescent School, their parents/guardians are notified, hereby, that we shall start evaluating the performances of the students every week from the week beginning Monday, April 13, 2020. Students will be required to appear for the Weekly Tests conducted online on whatever is taught during the preceding week. It is imperative for the students, therefore, that they followed all the classes now being held online, without fail or exception.

The Evaluation Tests will be conducted in lieu of the First Terminal Examination that could not take place in view of the forced closure. These Tests will carry the same weightage as the First Terminal Examinations do and will have a bearing on the Nett Annual Results.

All of you are aware that we have started online classes today. There will be classes tomorrow. With effect from Monday, April 06, 2020, such classes will be held for five consecutive days, from Monday to Friday.

You must have started receiving your lesson plans, subject-wise. These lessons are planned for a week only. Classes will be held as per those lesson plans. So, please stand by to attend those classes.

The idea of informing you in advance is to facilitate you go through the lessons yourselves before attending the classes. That will help you understand the lessons better.

We shall keep you informed in advance of the class-wise, subject-wise periods to be conducted online to facilitate you follow the same.

With the Lock Down situation prevailing all over and the date of re-opening of schools not certain, we felt that it is our moral duty to keep the students engaged in studies.

I thought of communicating to you at a time when the entire human race is going through, perhaps, the most difficult times in the history of humankind. The picture of uncertainty looms large all over, the fear of the unknown and the unforeseen grips humanity today like never before.

But, a situation as grave as this might not be absolutely hopeless. The need of the hour is to stay positive and stand united. Let each one of us perform our respective duties responsibly. Let us follow the guidelines as set by WHO and the Health Departments of our Central and State Governments. Let us neither get misguided by rumours ourselves nor encourage others to spread unverified messages to the mass.

Stay at home as much as possible and exercise social distancing by neither calling on friends/relatives nor inviting them over. Such wilfull disassociation for a period of 21 days ending April 15, 2020 could go a long way in breaking the chain of the carriage of corona virus.

Stay healthy, stay safe. Remember that we are always there with you. All of you mean so much to us.

EXTENSION OF CLOSURE

Further to our Notice dated March 14, 2020 on “Forced Closure”, this is to notify the students of The Crescent School, their parents/guardians, members of Faculty and Staff and everybody concerned that the school Management has taken a decision to extend the period of closure from March 31, 2020 initially to April 15, 2020 now.

What has necessitated the extension is our sense of commitment towards the welfare of the society. With WHO, UN, the Central and the State Governments putting in their honest efforts in controlling the rampant spread of Novel Corona Virus (COVID – 19), we thought it best to try and reinforce their efforts by following the protocol on ‘Social Distancing’ till the date as advised by them.

Examinations on the remaining subjects of the Annual Examination of Class XI and Higher Secondary Examination 2020 will also remain suspended from Monday, March 23, 2020 to Wednesday, April 15, 2020. Revised schedule on all such examinations will be announced in due course as and when we receive the official confirmation from WBCHSE through their official communique.

FORCED CLOSURE

The students of The Crescent School and their parents/guardians are notified, hereby, that the Management of the school has taken a decision to keep the school closed from Monday, March 16, 2020 to Tuesday, March 31, 2020.

The decision has been taken on an emergency basis in the wake of the rampant spread of the Novel Corona Virus (COVID – 19) across the country on which, advisories have already been issued by WHO, UN and the Central Government. The Honorable Chief Minister of West Bengal has issued a press release to that effect, release number 85 – SSE/20 dated March 14, 2020 ordering closure of all the education institutions from March 16, 2020 to March 31, 2020.

In view of the above, the First Terminal Examination of the school will remain suspended till March 31, 2020. Fresh dates of the examination will be announced in due course. However, the ongoing Annual Examination of Class XI will continue unabated as per schedule.

Students of Class XI are notified, hereby, that the process of registration to the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education is now underway. You are advised to do the following immediately :

1. Collect the photocopies of the Registration Forms that will be made available to you from the school office.

2. Go through the contents of the form carefully first before filling in the details correctly and signing on them.

3. Attach a photocopy of the last Secondary Examination cleared by you.

4. You need not attach any photograph. You will be informed in advance of the photo session to be conducted by the school. This is necessary to maintain symmetry.

5. Submit the forms on August 09, 2019 positively along with the pertinent processing fee of Rs. 1,000/- (Rupees one thousand only).

Students, their parents/guardians are notified, hereby, that a special joint session of studies will be held for the students of classes from V to X on Wednesday, July 11, 2018.
